Local MP Alan Campbell presented the awards to the winners of this years’ North Tyneside 10K Road Race on Easter Sunday. Thousands of competitors travelled from across the country to take part in the popular race. The route from The Parks in North Shields to St Mary’s Lighthouse goes past some iconic sites like Tynemouth Castle and Priory and some to the regeneration which is changing the coast for the better.
