Historic England has launched a new Neighbourhood Heritage: Grants for Communities programme, with grants of up to £15,000 available for projects that help people celebrate, explore and shape the future of their local heritage.
The fund is open to community organisations and groups with ideas that strengthen local voices, encourage community involvement, and make the most of the heritage that matters to local people. Historic England is particularly keen to hear from communities whose voices are less often represented in local decision-making.
The deadline for applications is 27 November 2026. If your group has an idea that could benefit the community and help tell the story of our local heritage, this could be a great opportunity.
