In July I visited St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Cullercoats and they gave me letters to the Prime Minister they had written as part of the ‘Send my friend to school’ campaign for global education.
Over the summer holidays I met the Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer to pass on the letters.
The Prime Minister asked me to pass on his thanks to all the pupils at St Mary’s for their work on this important issue.
He has pledged to do everything possible to make sure that children around the world get to go to school.
