Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell has congratulated Whitley Bay on being voted the best place to live in the North East by the Times.
Alan said “This is a well deserved recognition.
There’s still more to do but this shows the value of the community and local leaders working together to put the heart back into our local towns.
Despite losing out on levelling up funding, work is just starting on North Shields and Dame Norma Redfearn has pledged to continue with the exciting plans for the regeneration of North Shields and the Fish Quay.
