Local MP Alan Campbell is urging local people to check to see if they need to apply for a passport and to do so now. He said “Last summer my office dealt with over 100 local residents who were caught up by passport delays. Some missed their holidays.
The Home Office is already warning that delays could happen again this year. If you’re planning a summer holiday, check your passport is in date now and apply for a new one as soon as possible. Don’t forget you now need at least 6 months on a passport to enter the EU.”
