Local MP Alan Campbell is supporting a campaign by Co-op Safer Colleagues, Safer Communities. The campaign focuses on tackling crime and violence to protect shopworkers.
Alan said “I’m happy to support this campaign which highlights that it is not part of the job to be verbally abused, threatened or attacked. Co-op have invested over £70M in innovative technology to keep workers safe, including the installation of the latest remote monitored CCTV and communication headset devices rolled-out to all front-line colleagues and. I am pleased that they have committed to maintaining this level of investment over the next three years.”
