Local MP Alan Campbell this evening gave a talk on the poetry of World War One at St Andrew’s United Reformed Church in Monkseaton.
The talk was part of a two week festival of Remembrance and Reconciliation organised by the church.
Alan said “I was honoured to be asked to give a talk as part of the festival. I think it may have surprised people that I didn’t choose to speak about politics but I do hope everyone enjoyed the night.”
