Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell recently met with Chief Superintendent Janice Hutton to seek reassurance about resources for policing at the Coast.
Alan said “I have met police on a number of occasions recently after the anti-social behaviour which broke out in Cullercoats earlier this year. In fact the long hot summer has meant to the visitor spikes have not happened this year, replaced by a steady stream of visitors. That said, it is important that I and residents are assured that plans are in place to address issues if they do crop up.”
