Local MP Alan Campbell is supporting Barnardo’s Blue Peter Disk Drive. The campaign which launched on the 6th November runs until the end of January and is to encourage the public to donate any unwanted CD’s, DVD’d or computer games for sale in Barnardo’s shops. Barnardo’s are hoping to raise substantial funds to support their work with young carers, as well as raising awareness of the issue through the Blue Peter programmes.
Alan Campbell said ‘This is a very worthwhile campaign that I am glad to be supporting. I urge my constituents to get involved and donate any of these unwanted goods to a local Barnardo’s shop’.
Alan Campbell MP will be dropping in his unwanted goods at his local Barnardo’s in Whitley Bay in the New Year. If you would like to take part you can drop your unwanted goods at your local Barnardo’s shop, you local Lloyds TSB branch or BBC local radio station.
