Alan Campbell MP for Tynemouth has recently given his support to the All Party Small Shops Group which aims to raise awareness among parliamentarians of a broad range of issues of concern to small shopkeepers.

Following on from his assistance with "Freedom from Fear", the USDAW campaign to protect shopworkers from violent attacks, in September this year Alan Campbell remains committed to helping local businesses. This group will help small shops in Tynemouth as it ensures that the needs of all shopkeepers are kept in mind when decisions are made at Government level.

Alan Campbell said: "small shops are an essential part of the community in Tynemouth and it is important that the issues which can lead to the closure of such shops are addressed. This group aims to ensure the voice of the small shopkeeper is heard and that is why I am giving my support to them."
