Tory plans for health vouchers will wreck the NHS as we know it according to Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell.
The Tories plan to give vouches to patients to buy treatment elsewhere and will according to Alan Campbell put at risk the investment Labour is making.
Alan Campbell says, “The Tory plan for vouchers is a cruel con. First it subsidises private patients who already pay for their treatment. Then it makes existing NHS patients pay towards treatment if they have to top up the voucher. No government in the last fifty years, not even Thatcher's government, set out to break up the NHS in such an obvious and extreme way”
