Alan Campbell MP released new figures this week showing 6,600 families across Tynemouth are benefiting from Labour’s new tax credits.

Alan Campbell said:

”After only 5 months since the tax credits were introduced, 6,600 families across Tynemouth are getting the extra help they are entitled to. These new figures show that Labour is on the side of ordinary hard-working families here in Tynemouth.”

“Labour promised to give more support to families with children through the new tax credits. These figures show we are keeping that promise with 5.8 million families benefiting from new tax credits.

“I want all families to get the money they are entitled to and I urge any families that think they might be eligible to contact the Inland Revenue and join the 5.8 million.”
