Tynemouth MP Alan Campbell has been appointed as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Armed Forces Minister, Adam Ingram MP.

Alan Campbell had previously served as PPS to Cabinet Office Minister, Lord MacDonald of Tradeston, who retired from the Government at the recent reshuffle.

Alan Campbell said he was delighted to have been asked to serve as a Parliamentary Private Secretary and looked forward to working with the Armed Forces Minister and the Defence team.

Alan Campbell said:

”I am looking forward to my new role, at a time of great challenge in defence and international affairs. My constituency has a long tradition of links with the armed services and the defence industries are important local and regional employers. Wherever my new role leads I will continue to make the case for Tynemouth constituency.”
